Bernardo Giorgi’s work is concerned with the planning and realization of relational work. He investigates the boundary between the author and user and the border between art and life. All his work attempts to circumscribe a common area where artists and non-artists can share and connect with
each other through an itinerary, like a mental and material exploration, through places, territories and different cultures. The task of the artist is not to build but to create the contexts in which events and relationships develop.
Bernardo Giorgi’s research is therefore focused on borders and identity, using journeys and the mapping of territories as instruments of investigation. His projects tend to establish relationships, building an area of common understanding, creating collaborations and “pacts” between
people, sharing and operating at different levels.
